How do I get a hotel TV to work at home with a universal remote?

I bought a TV from a hotel that was remodeling, and can not get a universal remote to work with it. It is a philips OCV625c123. Are these TV’s made so that you can not use a remote with them other than the hotel remote, or should I try another universal remote? It works by manually switching channels and turning on.

Home remodeling question–adding a wall to enclose a dining room?

I am extending a wall to enclose a dining room to a den. I read on a home improvement website that tile flooring underneath the extension would have to be removed. Does anyone know if only the necessary portion of tile can be removed without having to redo the entire floor? If so, what is the best way to do it? Thanks.

DIY Computer shutdown on itself, and can’t get it back to normal?

I just put all the parts together, and I pushed start button on the Computer case. It worked at first, and all of the sudden the Computer shut down by itself when I was installing XP. When I restart it again, my screen is not showing up anything (The screen is in power saving mode). The whole computer is doing what is suppose to do. The graphic card is running, the power supply is running, the HD is running, CD ram is working, and the light on the motherboard is on. The Memory stick is doing fine too. By the way, the Green light and the red light on the computer case is not showing up either. It was on when the first time I started it.
This is what I have:
AMD x2 3.0GHz
Geforce 8800GTS
250 GB SATA
Motherboard: ASUS M2N32-SLI Deluxe Wireless Edition Socket AM2 NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI
500 W power supply
Memory: GeIL 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
People suggest me to take all the parts out and reseat them, but what if that doesn’t work?

DIY siding question?

I had a tiny shed built recently. I need to put some sort of siding on it to protect the wood. I’m female, and haven’t ever tackled anything like this. I’m interested in something that would be inexpensive and easy to do. Any suggestions?

Several years ago we did a full home remodel. Some how I have lost many of the pictures of this remodel. I still have in perfect condition the 8mm video we took (from a regular video camera). I would really like to take from the 8mm video still images. Then print images (pictures). We have Pinnacle studio/studio plus on our computer and have followed all the directions but i am unable to capture the video. What am I doing wrong? Do you know an easier better way to accomplish this?
Dfirefox that dosen’t answer my question as I CANNOT capture the video on my computer. Thanks anyways…

is now a good time to invest in a home maybe to rent or renovate and sell when the market recovers?

Looking at a townhouse in Cumberland MD for $39,000, current tenant pays 310 a month. Considering getting a loan and remodeling then renting or remodeling in a few years after i save a little bit more money. Either way i would be buying it as an investment and expecting so sell for profit in less then 4 years. Is now the right time to do this?
