I am also a do it yourselfer and working on a nursery. What exactly are you looking for? Many material things like blankets, dust ruffles, and bumper pads are cheaper buying than making yourself (as I found out when planning on making my own), but if you really want something specific (as it's hard finding certain things) then go for it. Here are a few sites I've looked at myself.

Crib Sheets

Crafts, etc

Diaper stacker

Dust Ruffle

Free patterns

I'm doing a dragonfly theme, and painted clouds on the ceiling with small dragonflies in various areas on the yellow walls (two walls I sponged a darker yellow on top of). The dragonflies were placed on the doors and around switches and outlets. I plan on making wooden letters "baby" for the wall, and shelves with a dragonfly cut into the backing (or painted on the front, depending on how I feel at the time). If painting an insect flying, paint a wavy dashed line trail behind it for added cuteness.

Good luck, and enjoy decorating the nursery! :)
