I don’t know that you could pick just one. I think back on all the jobs I’ve done and I can’t think of one I could have done without more than one tool.

Hammer, tape measure, circular saw (or some sort of power saw), measuring tape, carpenter’s square, drill, etc. have at been essential at some point.

Well, a descent one is more than $100, but if I could splurge right now, it would be for a table saw. It would be really nice for those long cuts instead of trying to do it with a circular saw.

My hammer- I’m a basics kind of girl… If I could splurge I would love to get a hand sander… Or a power saw- ahhh the dreams…

Too many to list, but my cordless drill probably gets the most use. If I only had a hundred bucks it would go on a sawzall

18 volt power drill, you can use it on so much.
And with an extra $100,I’d get one of those electrical testers where part of it goes to whatever circuit in the fuse box is damaged,so you can fix it.

If I were just getting started, I would buy several hand tools.
Hammer, set of ***** drivers, saws, wrenches. Basic stuff.
Then after a little use, you would know what power tools would be on your priority list for later.
If you have this stuff. get a cordless drill
And don’t buy cheap crap, it will fail and it can be dangerous to use sometimes.

Hammer . $100.00 toward a handywoman to use it .

My tool pouch. Without it I would never be able to find anything.
I noticed that several answers said don’t cheap out on the battery powered drill. Thing is the battery costs so much when it comes time to replace it that it is cheaper to buy a new cheap drill that comes with a battery and charger.

$100 I would put a little with it and buy a mat cutting machine (picture framing)

If I had an extra $100, I would find and buy a “left handed hammer”. The right handed one keeps bending the nails when I hit the head. (I’m left handed)

    Duct Tape . @@@@@@@@@@@@@ Really!!!!
Seriously–there are way too many. IN regard to the 100.00 “Spurge Toy”—er I mean TOOL—-I’d have to say—something for the yard!!!!
The tool could be me. I have the tools, and dirt—I just need the planting materials…i.e. geraniums, veggies, etc.
Yes, I am female. I really do know a great deal about tools when I am around them more and more. I’ve even mortared, sanded many a thing, doors, etc… painted, glossed—–ETC….Planted a HUGE Burning Red bush by myself…..I house I had for sale….
